This section presents the main types of activity carried out by the Pro-Electoral Integrity project. Each is documented in a dedicated sub-page with the corresponding events, dates, and countries.

Peer Learning Missions. High-level missions in which chairpersons and senior officials of African Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs) are deployed to countries holding elections to share experience, provide technical advice, and offer solidarity to fellow institutions during sensitive electoral periods. The missions are organised together with the Association of African Election Authorities (AAEA).

Transitional Justice. Support to the African Union's Transitional Justice Policy through the African Forum on Transitional Justice and dedicated continental platforms for women and youth, contributing to reconciliation, inclusive dialogue, and post-conflict governance.

African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance (ACDEG). Support to the development, validation, and piloting of pedagogical materials that integrate ACDEG principles into national education systems, in cooperation with African Union institutions, Regional Economic Communities, and Member States.

EMB Continental Fora & AAEA General Assemblies. Annual twin convenings that bring together representatives of African EMBs to discuss shared challenges, exchange comparative practices, and consolidate continental cooperation on electoral integrity. The project has supported the 7th, 8th, and 9th editions of the Continental Forum.

Declaration of Principles for International Election Observation. Participation in and support to the annual meetings of the Declaration of Principles (DoP) community, contributing to international standards and cooperation in election observation.

Regional Networks of EMBs. Support to the regional networks of African electoral authorities — including the Electoral Commissions Forum of SADC Countries (ECF-SADC), the Réseau des compétences électorales francophones (RECEF), and the Réseau des Organes de Gestion des Élections de l'Afrique Centrale (ROGEAC) — through conferences, workshops, and peer exchange.
