New project: Pro Electoral Integrity Phase 3

 

We are pleased and honored to announce that the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will continue to support the PRO ELECTORAL INTEGRITY project for a third phase, supporting the African Union Commission for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security.

The project, which started in 2021 and is currently in its third phase, will support the activities of the African Union’s elections, constitutionalism and transitional justice units. Through this project, we have been able to support via our personnel and experts important activities, such as:

  • The 7th and 8th Continental Forum of Electoral Management Bodies held in Mozambique and Benin
  • Various peers experts missions of the members the Association of African Election Authorities whose secretariat is in Ghana and missions were deployed in Kenya, Liberia and Comores
  • The 6th and 7th African Transitional Justice Forum in Togo and Morocco
  • The creation of the school curriculum for the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance

As well as multiple activities in support of the African Union Commission on the topics of elections, governance, constitutionalism and transitional justice.

We are very grateful to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for their support and trust and the African Union for the effective partnership we are carrying out after we signed an MoU with Commissioner Bankole and for all valuable activities we have implemented and will implement always together.
